Christopher Gough

The Seward Concert Band is thrilled to welcome our thirteenth director, Christopher Gough, to lead us beginning this September.

Christopher is energized by the possibility of working with a group of musicians who share a passion for lifelong involvement in the arts. Gough also looks forward to working in collaboration with band leadership to create performance opportunities that are rewarding for all involved, bringing together the goals of growing our band and spreading the joy of music throughout our community.

I am extremely energized by the possibility of working with a group of musicians who share a passion for lifelong involvement in the arts and high quality musical performance.

Christopher brings considerable experience to this role with the Seward Concert Band, as he is now entering his eighth year as a music educator here in Minnesota. Christopher holds a Master’s Degree from the University of North Dakota (2018) and Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Gustavus Adolphus College (2012). He is a member of the National Association for Music Educators (NAfME) and the Minnesota Band Directors Association (MBDA). In his spare time, Christopher enjoys playing basketball, ultimate frisbee, and exploring our National Parks.
