The Seward Concert Band is thrilled to announce its upcoming “Summertime” themed concert, set to captivate audiences with a vibrant fusion of music and celebration.
Join us on Friday, June 7 at 7:30 PM at Southwest High School at 3414 West 47th Street in Minneapolis. The concert offers an unforgettable experience for music enthusiasts of all ages. From the evocative strains of “Pastime” by Jack Stamp to the exhilarating rhythms of “Sun Dance” by Frank Ticheli, the repertoire promises to transport audiences to the heart of summer.
Adding to the excitement, the program will feature the whimsical and entertaining “A Grand Serenade for an Awful Lot of Winds and Percussion” by PDQ Bach, ensuring laughter and delight for all in attendance.
Under the baton of Cassandra Bechard, the Seward Concert Band will showcase its dedication to musical excellence, delivering a performance brimming with energy, passion, and the unmistakable charm of summertime melodies.
“Summertime” begins at 7:30 PM on Friday, June 7. Join us at Southwest High School in Minneapolis, at 3414 West 47th Street in Minneapolis. Suggested donations are $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $4 students and children.

The Seward Concert Band will also return to Pioneers and Soldiers Cemetery for their Memorial Day Ceremony. Join us as we pay tribute to those who have given their lives serving our country and honor those buried in this historic cemetery.
Memorial Day is Monday, May 27. We will begin playing at 9:45 AM, and the service will begin at 10 AM.
