Join the Seward Concert Band on Friday, January 22 as we share an evening of classic band music. We’ll be performing at Washburn High School in Minneapolis. Seward Concert Band at the Twin Cities Marathon

Continuing a tradition dating back to our early days, members of the Seward Concert Band played for runners in the Twin Cities Marathon last Sunday morning. You couldn’t have picked better weather for either running or playing, and we had a great time encouraging runners as they passed the 17 mile mark. Seward Concert Band Welcomes New Director
The Seward Concert Band welcomes David Sanderson to our director’s podium for our 39th season.
Dave Sanderson, a native of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is a graduate instructor and doctoral student in the music education program at the University of Minnesota. From 2009-2014 he served as an instrumental music teacher at North Star High School, in Lincoln, Nebraska. He earned his both his Bachelor’s of Music Education and Master’s of Music degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2009 and 2014 respectively. Mr. Sanderson is a member of the National Association for Music Education, the Minnesota Music Educators Association, and the College Music Society.
