As the Seward Concert Band wraps up another calendar year (its 43rd), it looks back on 2019 – its 13 concerts at 8 venues, the 86 musicians involved – and it looks forward to 2020, anticipating audiences new and familiar. An organization the size of the SBC with a program that is ready to expand requires many resources. Volunteers take care almost all of the work. Most of the materials and and some of the skills needed for that work, though, need to be purchased, rented, or hired.
The band’s Board has committed
to matching the first $950
received before the new year.
The SCB hopes that you will aid it in its efforts to bring music to our community by donating your time, skill, or money. The band’s directing Board has committed to matching the first $950 received before the new year. All donations are tax-deductible and will be used to purchase new music, store, transport, and maintain its percussion instruments, spread the word about the band’s performances and do whatever needs to be done that the band cannot do by itself.
